10-day Cenote diving and hiking program in Mexico (Yucatan Peninsula)
Day 1: Arrival in Cancun
Accommodation: Participants will stay in an elegant 4-star beachfront hotel, offering excellent services and comfortable accommodation, providing the perfect base for the next 10-day adventure.
Day 2: Relaxing and sunbathing on the beach
We can spend the day relaxing and sunbathing, enjoying the sunshine and the seaside atmosphere.
Day 3: Cenote Diving – Ik Kil Cenote and Surroundings
Breakfast: We start the day with a hearty breakfast, then travel to the famous Ik Kil Cenote. This cenote is one of the most beautiful and well-known, offering unparalleled diving experiences. Diving: Ik Kil Cenote is a huge sinkhole, where you can discover huge cave systems among crystal clear water and the sluices. During the tour, you can also get to know the ancient Mayan civilization. Lunch: We end the day in a traditional Mexican restaurant, paying special attention to Yucatan cuisine. Afternoon: We explore Cenote X’keken and Cenote Samulá, which offer a special combination of underwater and surface wonders. Evening: Return to the hotel, rest and dinner.
Day 4: Diving and Exploration – Cenote Dos Ojos
Breakfast: After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Cenote Dos Ojos. One of the most famous cenotes in the world, famous for its two huge sinkholes connected by an underwater cave system. Diving: Dos Ojos Cenote is a paradise for divers and snorkelers, with crystal clear water, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch: The local restaurant will treat us to fresh seafood and delicious Mexican dishes. Afternoon: Excursion to the city of Tulum, where we can explore the ancient Mayan ruins and the beautiful beach. Evening: Return to the hotel, rest and dinner.
Day 5: Cenote diving – Gran Cenote and Cuzamá
Breakfast: After breakfast, explore the famous Gran Cenote, one of the most visited sites in Yucatán, with crystal clear waters and fascinating underwater life. Diving: Under the waters of Gran Cenote, divers can explore the rocks of the mysterious cave systems, stalactite and stalagmite formations. Lunch: Lunch in the nearby town of Cuzamá, where we can get to know the local culture and taste authentic Mexican food. Afternoon: Discover the wonders of the cenotes around Cuzamá. Evening: Return to the hotel, rest and dinner.
Day 6: Trip to Chichén Itzá
Full-day trip to Chichén Itzá, an ancient Mayan ruin city known as a World Heritage Site. The Pyramid of Kukulkan is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Day 7: Isla Mujeres
Playa Norte, located on Isla Mujeres, is one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. The white sand, crystal clear blue water and green palm trees create a magical atmosphere. We explore the island by golf cart.
Day 8: Coba, Tulum
Cobá, one of the oldest Mayan cities, where we cycle through the jungle to explore the ruins. Here you can still climb to the top of the tallest pyramid, offering a unique experience. Afterwards, we can take a cooling dip in the water of the nearby stalactite cave and then take wonderful photos in the picturesque surroundings of Tulum.
